First trip and the suitcase has got scratches all overâ€_ looks so ugly. I would have expected more after spending c.500£

Bought for a holiday in Cape Verde. Very light with 4 wheels made it easy to move upright or on two wheels. Looks great as well.

I bought this to replace an older Samsonite suitcase purcashed back in 2012 which the baggage handlers managed to remove a wheel from in my last trip. Both the replacement and the original case were the same dimensions (28 / 75cm) 4 wheel spinner but there are some differences between them. The newer model now has a two pole handle over the original's single mid pole design and the wheels have been doubled up having 2 in each corner over the original model's single wheel design. Inside they are similarly fashioned having a zipable cover over the top lid and the shaft for the handle occupying some of tghe bottom lid space. The newer model would appear to have a little less interior space over the original case I had with the zipable cover being marginally lower in the new case allowing for slightly less tall items to be situated in there - so my wash kit which fits into a standard football boot bag is now placing a little more stress onto the cover than it used to. The lower space is a little more complicated to store things due to losing space with the two handles over just having a central ridge from the single handle in the older design but this is offset by the more sturdy nature of the wheels and handle in the newer case. The interior long zipable compartment which runs along the length of the case also appears to impact more on storage in the newer case over the one it was replacing causing a little less storage in the lower lid to occur as a result. The main zips now also use a customised fastener meaning that if it is ever damaged it is not so easily replaced by an off the shelf zip fastener. It also removed the ability to add a separate padlock through the zip fasteners as they sit flush to the case with no openings to receive a padlock. Overall the case is very well made and is still very sturdy and lightweight. It just loses a small amount of internal storage over the model it was replacing.
